Data Engineer

The person included in the team will be responsible for properly collecting and then refining, analyzing, interpreting, and enhancing substantial amounts of highly complex data, making them available effectively for subsequent decision-making procedures.

Specifically, he/she will be responsible for:

  • Working with data to solve business problems, building and maintaining the infrastructure to answer questions and improve processes;
  • Helping streamline data scientists' workflows, adding value to product/solution offerings and contributing to Customer Journey improvement;
  • Working closely with the data science team to develop data models and pipelines for research, reporting, and machine learning;
  • Helping design and develop solutions for data processing and data governance.
 

We would like to get in touch with resources with the following requirements:

  • Master's degree (or equivalent) in statistics, applied mathematics, computer engineering, computer science, or related disciplines;
  • Three or more years of experience with Python, SQL, and data visualization/exploration tools;
  • Good understanding of ETL (Extract/Transform/Load) tools;
  • Good understanding of how data warehouses and data lakes work, as well as NoSQL databases and Apache Spark systems;
  • Curiosity in exploring new technologies and creativity in approaching novel problems that may need solutions that are not immediately evident;
  • Mindset that can combine business and technical needs;
  • Flexibility, proactivity and excellent problem-solving skills;
  • Good knowledge of the English language.
 

Constituting a plus:

  • Experience with cloud environments (e.g., AWS) and related technology solutions;
  • Experience with RDBMS (e.g., SQL Server, Postgres);
  • Experience using code versioning systems (Git);
